I was wondering who, in the right mind, is still buying US “Treasures” and financing skyrocketing US debt. I hear that Chinese are actually selling more of US debt than they are buying. Slowly trying to dump as much of it as they can.

Arabs are not buying much since oil prices are still low and demand weak. Britain and Japan cannot be buying much since their own economies are in deep trouble

Apparently this is how it works:

Fed creates trillions out of thin air and gives it to major banks. Banks in turn ship money off shore to their overseas outfits and buy US debt pretending to be independent buyers and creating seemingly never ending “demand”.

And this is why “bailout” money is given directly to the banks instead of buying “toxic assets”. To “deal” with that problem all they had to do is change “mark to market” rules. By doing that “toxic assets” became not so toxic overnight and banks became “solvent” and even “profitable”. Alive enough to keep buying US debt through their offshore subsidiaries.

How long can it possibly go on! Nearly half US Government spending is borrowed money already! Not matter how gigantic scheme is it is bound to collapse sooner or later. This one, when it does, will take US down with it!

USSR is coming back and nobody even noticed.

Barely made to the news election of Communist President in Kishinev Moldova. He has very Russian first and last name in the country with ethic Romanian majority. Romanians did not like that but in all likelihood it will not matter. Russians will de-facto take over Moldova. Russia held part of Moldova called Pridnestrovie since the fall of USSR and now maybe taking back the rest of Moldova.

Ukraine where US backed Polack minority President was elected in so called “Orange Revolution” paid entirely by US taxpayers through American NGOs is now sliding into Russian control. I hear that President and his party are completely broke which means that US support is no longer there. At the same time Putin pledged up to one billion USD to Timoshenko for candidate of her choosing in next election. Most likely very pro-Russian government will be elected there. Current President Yushenko has very little control over most of the country anyway. He makes desperate anti-Russian statements time to time hoping that his American handlers will come back with bags of money but it is very unlikely to happen. US needs supply line for US troops in Afghanistan and it is now coming through Russia.

Abhazia and South Osetia were taken back by Russia from Georgia last summer. Everybody saw that on the news. As soon as US “blinks” when it is too busy with it’s own problems the rest of Georgia will be taken over.

Russia does have firm control over Belarus, Kazakhstan and semi-control over other former Soviet “Stans”. Why do you think Manas is being closed in Kyrgizstan? Because Putin said so.

Armenia is very friendly with Russia and may come willingly into new USSR.

Pribaltic states and Azerbaijan maybe left alone for now. Just until the time when US will get weaker yet. Pribaltic states have very large Russian population in them. Third if not close to a half of the population in those are ethic Russians. They will be easy to take over when time comes.

I heard rumors that Russian military was given orders to prepare for the move into former Soviet states. Soon as US can no longer play the role of lone superpower new USSR will rise again.

With thousands more muslims coming into this country, terrorist training camps springing up everywhere you would expect some seriously high number of terrorist attack. I think the only reason it is not the case is because they are waiting, waiting for a signal of some sort. This signal could be Israel attacking Iran.

In the end whole world will be hating Capitalism and Jews. Capitalism for starting this worldwide economical mess and Jews for “finishing” it. Exactly what elites want to build new order based on socialism and control of everything.
Granted it is not Capitalism’s fault, it is Government messing with Capitalism but these details will be totally lost on most of the people.

I see American economy of today as a giant Boeing 747. Huge, four-engine airplane, which enjoyed nice flight for a while. While American passengers aboard were partying on mechanical troubles with airplane of America were piling on.

Engine Number 1 used to be the one providing the most thrust. Engine of real economy that produced real wealth. Real economy of which manufacturing, mining and agriculture are the main components. That engine has been starved of fuel and maintenance for a long time and is now producing very little thrust just like all the sectors of real US economy that are now in severe deficit.

Not to worry though! 747 have three more engines! Right? Problem is, those three are in disastrous shape too!

Engine Number 2. Housing boom. For about a decade it created hundreds of billions, probably trillions of fake money injected into US economy. Seemingly ever rising housing prices allowed people to use their houses as an ATMs taking hundreds of billions of “equity” out and buying new cars, boats and other items of luxury with that fake money. That engine is all gone now.

Engine number 3. The Market. Trillions were made there. Made and, as of today, lost. Market is back to the same numbers it was at decade or so ago and it just keeps on going down still! Last I heard, couple of month ago three trillions were lost in that market. I do not know if anybody is counting anymore. Numbers are just too scary and incomprehensible.

Last but not least the Engine Number 4! The consumer borrowing! That used to be one of the “strongest” engines but there is only so much money Americans can borrow! Credit cards, credit lines are drying up faster than camel’s piss on hot Sahara sand! Looks like ever-rising US consumer debt has reached its highest possible level and just cannot go any higher.

Well, there goes the Number 4!

What is left now? Oh wait! We are all out of  engines! Obama said that Government spending must replace private spending that is no longer there. Is he insane? No, he is not. His lips only move when hand inside sock-puppet moves and that hand knows what it is doing.

This new “engine” of Government spending duct taped to the tail of the above mentioned 747 is producing less thrust than hand held, battery operated cooling fan that is sold in dollar stores. Based on insane Keynesian economics it can only produce an appearance of the movement for a while. Just a little while longer to keep people aboard happy. Give just enough time for real people in charge to pack their bags.

These real rulers whose hands make Obama walk and talk are building new world order. Strong, independent countries are the biggest obstacles to that. This is why this country had to be destroyed and it is about to happen.

With horror I watch American politics of last few years. This horror comes from knowing what is going to happen next. I know what is going to happen next because I have I have seen it before.

I have seen remarkably similar situation in the last few years of USSR. Parallels are so striking they send chills down my spine (and not up the leg, like some Americans).

Let me tell you a little bit about Brezhnev years of USSR.

Period of his reign was called “zastoy” (stagnation). Economy was stagnant, but it did not seem to be apparent to most. Corruption in Government reached never before seen levels, debt of USSR was skyrocketing, Brezhnev was taking in loans from any country that would give them. Country was broke but payments of foreign and military aid to “allies” were never missed or cut.

In general Soviet people felt happy and well. Standard of living was highest ever, everything around seemed to be stable and reliable to Soviet people. With an exception of (for the most part) distant war in Afghanistan everything seemed to be going well to an average Soviet. If, say, in mid 1980s you would stop average citizen of USSR on the street and told them that whole Soviet Union will cease to exist just few years later 99% of people would call you crazy so strong was the belief in the well being of USSR.

Then came the Gorbachev.... He came with a message of “perestroyka” (rebuilding, changing). Most people did not understand why changing anything was even necessary. Everything seemed to be more or less fine. Only people in charge of the country knew how unsustainable overall condition of USSR was. Gorbachev was trying to save the USSR and save the system that ran it. But it was too late.

I heard on the news recently that Gorbachev came out obscurity somewhere and said that Obama must do “perestroyka” in USA now. Something tells me he knows exactly what he is talking about and whom he is talking to. He is talking to an American Gorbachev.

First front of revolution and probably the most important one was in public education system. Radical leftist professors in institutions of higher learning spread disease of socialism to their students which became teachers and in turn spread same disease to the minds of their students

What did you think when your child came home from school and told you that because you voted Republican all cute and cuddly animals of the world are going to die? I bet you though that it is just some activist teacher talking and your child will get over that propaganda soon enough. Instead millions of brainwashed students are coming out of public education system thinking that Conservatives are the people who do not take showers much and chew tobacco all the time.

What you heard from your child was the sounds of the American Revolution. Revolution in which entire generation was brainwashed and conditioned to accept Socialism. Now that this generation can vote it was their time to act. Like millions of Manchurian Candidates who heard the key command words they snapped to attention at the sound of “hope” and “change” and they marched in droves to the voting stations to bring in the new order to this country.

Once brainwashed minds of the people had to be kept in control after leaving educational system. This is where second front of the socialist revolution came in. Socialists took over mass media and fed the proper message into the minds of American people. Pesky voices of conservatives on talk radio got in the way at times but this annoyance will soon be squashed by Fairness Doctrine.

Socialist revolution could not take place in the country with strong Capitalist economy. It had to be destroyed. Socialists who made their way into US Government regulated entire industries out of existence. This, third, front of the revolution used weakness of the Capitalist system; it’s reliance on basic greed. Lenin said, “We will hang last Capitalist with the rope he sold us”. Entire industries were squised by Government regulations to the point where they had to flee and Socialist allies of communist China were more that ready to give them new home. Instead of standing their ground and fighting Socialists in the Government Capitalists found it easier and cheaper to just relocate out of US.

Industries that could not relocate were brought to the point of collapse at which point Government is now taking them over with “bailouts”

So what is the future of Conservatism and capitalism in US?

Capitalism will be replaced step by step with semi-Socialist European like system. Being unsustainable in the long term every part of it that fails will be taken over by State gradually turning entire economy into proper Socialist one.

Conservatism? It will still be there. Do you think there are no Conservatives in Europe, Britain and Canada? Sure there are but they are relegated to the status of tiny, irrelevant minority. At some point in the future as Socialism takes over more and more and no longer needs to play the pretend game of diversity of opinions in society  they may actually be declared dangerous minority and outlawed all together.

What happened in Georgia was almost entirely because of very misguided and short-sited US foreign policy. US replaced very pro-Russian Shevarnadze with most radical, anti-Russian guy they could find. Harvard educated Saakashvily seemed like perfect choice. He was installed in US paid for and CIA organized coup. US got the oil pipeline through Georgia they always wanted.

Problem is. Saakashvili was not just extremely anti-Russian he was extreme Georgian nationalist too. His main idea for new Georgia was “Georgia for Georgians” Russian speaking minorities had to be forced out, driven out of the land they lived on for generations simply because that land, by accident of history, became part of Georgia after fall of USSR.

Average American would never suspect their beloved Government in supporting “ethnic cleansing” of any kind, anywhere in the world. After all US is force for good, peace, love everywhere.... but it did happen. Would not be the first time ether.

 American society has gone insane with happiness and with fruitless but very obsessive struggle to achieve it. To paraphrase some very smart and very famous person name of whom escapes me “Happiness is the domain of insane and idiots”. Pursuit of happiness even made it into founding documents of the USA but not the happiness itself. Why? Because happiness was understood by people as an, ultimately, unachievable goal pursuit of which would better society and people. Similar to Christian goal of trying to better one self understanding that in the end only God can make one perfect.

Founding fathers of USA were, probably, the happiest people on Earth of their time. They had nearly unprecedented level of freedom and self-determination even under nominal rule of distant king. American colonies enjoyed highest levels of personal wealth on the common person level. Colonists ate (and drank) better foods than any average commoner in Old World. Most of the founding fathers were well off colonists who enjoyed even higher-level quality of life than average persons. Yet, they rose up and risked it all to achieve freedom, not happiness.

Fast forward couple hundred years. Look at an average Americans today. Freedoms are traded for promise of happiness so routinely and so readily by them. It is hard to believe that these very people are the (proud) descendants of the founding fathers who put everything on the line in their quest for those very same freedoms that are given up so easily today. What was it they used to say: ”Hang together or hang separately” in the difficult days of American Revolution. Founders gave up happiness, wealth, and security and were ready to give up their lives and for what?

Today happiness is in winning the game of life. Game of life in which one who died with most toys wins. Those who do not feel like they are on the winning side and those who “won” but achieved no happiness turn to drugs to make them feel happy. I heard that nearly 150 million mood altering drug prescriptions were written in one year in US. Unbelievable number if you ask me.

In the pursuit of personal happiness society as a whole lost direction completely. Few and far between are voices of people who do not like USofA becoming more and more Socialist. There is next to no popular oppositions to Government taking over more and more control of people’s lives and society in general. There is next to no opposition to Government taking over entire industries and sectors of economy. It is all done for “the better of the people”. Happiness of people must be found in freebies given by the Government not in freedom of determining the quality of life based on personal achievements and hard work.

In so many conversations with average Americans I came to realization that they are more than ready to accept Socialism in part or as a whole. So many times after talking to them about clear indications of US becoming more and more Socialist all I get is a shrug of the shoulder and reply that goes more or less like this: “Oh well, I guess we will have to live in the Socialism then”. At first I could not believe what I heard but then I realized that average American has absolutely no fear of Socialism and basically knows nothing about it.

Well, maybe it is just me. Paranoid and needlessly alarmist immigrant who actually did get to “enjoy” Socialism in the USSR. I believe that it was Winston Churchill who said “Capitalism is all about unequal distribution of riches. Socialism is all about equal distribution of miseries”. Hard to find better description of the Socialism. Happiness in the Socialism is all about watching your neighbors suffer just as much as you do. No riches produced in Socialism because they must be distributed by Government equally among people. Who would want to produce riches of any kind only to watch them taken away and given to your lazy neighbor. Before you know everybody becomes lazy, everybody comes down to the level of lowest common denominator. At this point Government becomes the slave driver to mandate and force people to produce something, anything. Soviet citizens used to say “We pretend that we are working and government pretends that it is paying us for the work”.

Do you see happiness as understood by Americans in my short description of Socialism? I did not think so.

Founding fathers wanted Americans to “pursue happiness” do that with clear understanding that happiness itself is a myth, like mirage in the desert. Like that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Running toward that pot is good for you. Pursuing happiness is good too, just like trying to be good in Christianity all the while clearly understanding that you will not become perfect.

After couple hundred years of “pursuit” Americans decided that we must be there by now. Enough of that pursuit already! Realizing that we are not happy still (even though we should be by now) Americans now turn to Socialism for answer.
